Hulu.com to charge in 2010:

http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwire/2009/10/hulu-to-charge-viewers-money-i.php

My Response:

Hulu will gain some paid subscribers, but will now lose out. People will realize that they can buy the DVD sets for less than a year's subscription to Hulu to watch their favorite shows...unless it is like a dollar a month.

Most networks still host full shows on their website.

The cultural shift to watch TV via the web is still two years away. Most people are not ready to cease cable TV payments to watch all their shows on the web and pay for that service. Especially in our economic climate.

Why pay for web content, there will always be free options to find, even if it is backdoor, which I don't condone.

It is a magazine based mentality of using now outdated revenue models. Of course I do understand adding value and getting more money, when limited web commercials only pay so much. Keep at the ad models and I hope something lucrative evolves.

Which Way Up

Does politics have you feeling like you are trying to breathe under water?

Welcome to the club of common Americans.

I am a moderate conservative who votes upon people and not along party lines. Up front, I plan on voting for Ron Paul. I admire the energy and personality of Obama and the character and work ethic of Biden. I am in love with Palin and would enjoy the strong leadership and commander & chief aspect of McCain.

Ron Paul offers radical ideas. These are appealing, because I want change in our politics.
Policies, laws and emergency issues are taking too long to follow through with. Katrina is a great example, but it isn’t just Bushes fault that things fell. Clinton also grew branches of the government and all the Bureaucracy has crippled the Federalism in this country.

Obama’s planned policies will create havoc on the capitalism in our country. The many various taxes Obama plans on implementing will cripple small business and new business growth and slow the abilities of large businesses. This means a reduction in jobs and a reduction in businesses, which means no jobs for the working class, as businesses will cut losses, so they can make profits.

Obama’s plan ton nationalize healthcare and a few other areas of society, this means they have to be funded. The scary part isn’t even the socialism and fascist tendencies these new policies will carry. The only way to pay for such robust plans is to raise taxes or alter where money is going currently.

Incentives are lost by government controlling such areas of life, because there is no competition or a loss of competition.

The fact the government has bailed out private businesses could be the slippery slope of relocating tax dollars from important internal/infrastructure projects, like failing bridges, to buyout dept. It definitely doesn’t help that our deficit is growing massively and we are borrowing lots of money from China and other countries that are emerging as superpowers. And a large amount of the money we send out is to foreign energy.

Capitalism has checks and balances, much like the government. It is called letting businesses fail. The market will adjust and become stronger through these situations.

Palin honestly does have the energy experience and the track record of fighting big government and corruption in her state. McCain has a record with some of that in it for the nation.

Obama is repackaging the things Carey and previous other left wing liberals have said time and time again. It is very compelling, because Obama delivers his thoughts so well. I do like him as a person, but he is another politician. With a broken government in Washington and Obama’s record in Chicago, I don’t trust him at his word. I do respect Biden and trust his words though. I like Bidens stances against illegal immigration and his foreign policy experience.

Pelosi is fake and has not upheld anything she said she would do, if elected as Speaker. The Democrats are in control of the House, yet they still can’t get anything done.

I want change. Ron Paul has the most shake up plans in hand. He means what he says. He has plans on how to do it and so he works for me and this country. I think McCain does, most of the time and Palin would whole heartedly.

The cities and urban areas are still very much progressive and you will see a lot of them lean more towards Obama. The small town and farm lands will definitely lean more towards McCain.
The religious right will be seeking their souls in what to do this election. I will warn not to let Politics and Religion become melded, or we will have to implement a new reformation as Martin Luther did.

We should be encouraged to question, to think, to speak. Not just follow and I am now feeling the pressure to not think. How dangerous that is. Don’t tell me I am not American or not able to believe in what I do, because it isn’t “Politically Correct” or what people are “suppose to do today.”

Sometimes people try to be so open minded, they are the most close minded out there. I honestly have felt that most Christians I know are more open to listening to other’s thoughts than others. Not all, but pound for pound, they seem to be more open minded in many instances.

My quick two cents.
